Musical Theatre

Musical theatre is one of the best ways to develop a child’s confidence and communication skills in a fun environment. Children can learn new skills in each of the complimentary musical theatre disciplines of singing, dancing, and drama all whilst having lots of fun, moving their bodies, and building confidence.

Key principles:

Technical skills – children will develop their singing, dancing, and drama skills through fun activities that accommodate different skill levels and learning styles. We encourage children to express themselves creatively and give them the freedom to explore different aspects of musical theatre and focus on the aspects that they personally connect with.

Skill for life – our musical theatre clubs are all about gradually building confidence in the children. Our coaches use positive feedback to boost children’s confidence and lesson plans are structured to gradually build on specific skills, allowing the children to see their progress over time.

Age-appropriate & inclusive – our clubs nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Learn through play – we make sure that every session is fun and engaging by using games and interactive exercises to teach singing, dance, and drama.

  • Our musical theatre clubs are led by professional actors, dancers, and singers who have at least 5 years’ experience teaching musical theatre to primary school age children

  • At the end of most terms we have an informal performance that are devised in class for family and friends

  • Dancer/singer/actor of the week award every session
