Gymnastics

We believe that gymnastics is for everyone. Our club helps children develop the fundamental motor and physical skills required to excel in any sport, all whilst learning gymnastic skills!

Key principles:

Learn through play – our experienced coaches focus on positive reinforcement, helping each child to build self-esteem and confidence as they develop gymnastics skills. We celebrate every achievement, big or small, and prioritise fostering a sense of accomplishment in the children.

Skills for life – gymnastics is a fantastic way for children to develop their agility, balance, strength, and coordination skills – these skills are brilliant for gymnasts but are also fundamental to other sports and will stay with the children for life – what do Cristiano Ronaldo, Serena Williams, and Tom Brady all have in common? They all did gymnastics as children!

Technical skills – each session will focus on developing specific gymnastics skills such as rocking and rolling, jumps, and landings – progress will be monitored by our coaches and awarded through certificates.

Age-appropriate & inclusive – sessions are adapted to be more suitable for young children, making gymnastics easier to understand and play. Children are taught the basics gymnastics in a simple and engaging way. Children are split into groups depending on their age and ability, so that they can progress at their own pace, without pressure.

  • Our gymnastics clubs are led by coaches who are fully certified by British Gymnastics and who have at least 5 years’ experience teaching gymnastics to primary school age children

  • Age-appropriate equipment is used at all sessions

  • Gymnast of the week award every session

  • Sportsperson of the week award every session (awarded to children who demonstrate our values of fairness, respect, and integrity during the session)
